Maui-Mex Pico de Gallo

Here is our Motto: Fresh, uncooked salsa demands the freshest ingredients. Use the best red ripe tomatoes in the market…and sweet Maui onion if it is available. Although this recipe can be made with canned tomatoes in a pinch, it will be a completely different salsa.

maui-mex-salsa2 cups fresh diced tomato

¼ cup fresh chopped cilantro leaves
½ cup freshly diced Maui onion
¼ cup fresh squeezed lime juice
¼ cup fresh orange juice
Salt and pepper to taste
2 jalapeño peppers, chopped (seeds and all)
Mix all ingredients except the salt, pepper and jalapeno together in a bowl. Add the salt, pepper and jalapeno to taste. Let salsa sit for at least 15 minutes before using. Use fresh…or make it ahead and refrigerate.

Makes about 3 cups. Relax and enjoy!
